Dr. Michael R. Howard, Overseer and Senior Pastor, born in Mt. Holly New Jersey, the 10th of 13 children born to Mary and John hazel Howard. Overseer Michael Howard has been married to his wife Elder Brenda Howard for 13 years. The two founded Greater is He Ministries when they felt the call to do outreach ministry in the City of Trenton.

Overseer Howard graduated from Palmyra High School in Palmyra N.J. He attended Oklahoma State University, and served in the United States Marines.  Overseer has obtained several degrees including his PhD in Biblical Studies from Calvary Christian College and Seminary of South Bend Indiana, PMI Institute, Battle Creek Michigan.

October 2005, Overseer Howard accepted the call to Pastorship of Greater Is He Ministries Trenton N. J. Overseer Howard was ordained as Pastor and installed March 2006 by Apostle D. C. Thomas, prelate of the Greater Word to the World ministry.

Overseer Howard has birthed many programs at his church that reach out to the community, including co-founder of Celebration of Life breast Cancer program for Survivors and their Spouses. Under his leadership Greater Is He Ministries he has a Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day, and a Toy give away every year during the Christmas season. Overseer goes into different prison to minister the word to the men and women that are incarcerated.

Overseer Howard sits on the board of the East Coast Prison Ministry Conference, has an annual men’s conference, which is held annually in various states. He is also President of the Board of Doorway To Hope transitional Housing program, Trenton, NJ. He has developed several programs, including the Door of Hope Ministries in Plainfield, NJ. A housing program for the previously incarcerated that need assistance with temporary housing. He is also a member of the Cambridge Who’s Who among distinguished.

Overseer Howard has a real passion for men that have and is currently going through this Breast Cancer struggle with their wives, and or significant others.  He wants the world to know that “Real Men” stay.

There are a few good men that not only stick with, but care, nurture, doctor and mentor their wives, and he is a strong advocate for support groups for the men that are caregivers. Overseer Howard is becoming part of Men Against Breast Cancer.

Overseer’s motto is, “Through it all I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve to trust in God, I’ve learned to depend upon His Word!
